Lately, I have been receiving a lot of questions about my favorite colors. So today I thought I would round up some of my favorite saturated blues. I like to use these colors to create a bold design in a sophisticated way. They are perfect as an accent wall or paired with beautiful wainscoting.

Today I want to share with you three small rooms with big style. I have designed a bedroom, living room and dining room mixing some high end and low budget pieces. I am highlighting my favorite pieces from Pottery Barns small spaces collection. All the small space pieces have that high end look without the high price. I love that they are smaller scale and can fit in those tiny city apartments or long and narrow rooms (Like my family room!).
Read MoreMODERN BATHROOM REMODEL
The project we are currently working on is remodeling our outdated master bathroom. Its footprint is tiny and it had this huge bathtub that took up most of the room. I’m a big fan of relaxing in a nice hot, bubble bath. Unfortunately, here the hot water runs out long before you get this large tub filled up. We decided to replace the tub with a walk-in shower to really maximize the space.

I love being in my kitchen, I think in another life I would have been a pastry chef. I love making yummy treats or a delicious dinner for my family to enjoy. The sights, the smells, I love it all. My husband and I have lived in a lot of different style homes over the last ten years. Some kitchens I have loved and others I found it hard to work in.

I've been wanting to do a fireplace in my bedroom since we moved in to this house. The cost of a real fireplace quickly ruled that out, but that wouldn't stop me from getting the look of a real fireplace.

Ever since I moved into our house I have loved our windows. They all have deep window sills that I can place plants on (because I can be a crazy plant lady). After I painted all the window frames white, I felt like the rooms needed more warmth. I immediately thought natural woven shades in a mid-range color would be perfect. So I began sourcing shades, my heart hurt a little after seeing their prices... So I put this project on hold.

Finding the perfect bed for my daughters bedroom proved to be a very difficult task. We had already bought a new desk, dresser, bedding and accessories but the room was feeling character-less. Her original white headboard was lovely but too small for the space and didn't make much of an impact.

Last week I posted about finishing the basement family room. If you missed it, you can read about it here. After we moved all of the living room furniture downstairs I had a big empty room left upstairs. This empty space is now becoming our new dining room. I really wanted a dining space that was light and bright, somewhere we could gather and enjoy our meal together with friends and family. Up until now we have been eating at the peninsula off the kitchen. Here is the dining room/living room space before we moved in.

Hello friends! I found a beautiful vintage quilt and two matching antique ladders at our local antique store but silly me didn't purchase them immediately. When I went back to buy them they were all sold. I still wanted a ladder to hold my growing quilt collection, so I decided to build one with scrap wood I had around. This is it!
