Work With Your Architecture, Not Against It
The stairway wall immediately catches your eye, so instead of trying to disguise it, I embraced it.
Rather than filling the wall with oversized artwork, I centered a beautifully curved wooden chest on it. The gentle curves of the furniture soften the sharp line of the stairs, while the mirror naturally draws your eye upward, helping the entire wall feel balanced.

The chest is undoubtedly the star of this space.
Its curved front adds softness to the room while offering plenty of hidden storage for everyday essentials like keys, mail, reusable shopping bags, or seasonal accessories. The warm finish also brings instant warmth without making the entryway feel heavy.
For me, an entryway should feel collected rather than cluttered, and choosing one beautiful furniture piece is often all you need.
