HOW TO: STYLING YOUR COFFEE TABLE

May 30, 2017

If you search living room decor on Pinterest, chances are you've seen some beautiful spaces with perfectly styled coffee tables. Styling the coffee table in your home doesnt have to be a challenge anymore. Just follow our 5 easy steps to get that designer look for your coffee table right now. It's easier than you think!

Step 1:  Keep it together

I always like to start with a pretty tray (My personal favorites are these from West Elm). They are the easiest and prettiest way to keep everything organized from remotes to coasters. I love that trays come in many different shapes and sizes making it super easy to fit any style.

Step 2: Book smart

Large books with pretty covers are timeless and look chic when layered in a tray, sitting on a table or on a shelf. I like to use books that have interesting images or short poems/stories to entertain guest while they wait.

Step 3: Natural Beauty

Adding natural elements can help break up all the hard lines with their organic shapes. It will also add color and life to your room. I love to use fresh flowers in a lovely vase or a small pot of succulents.

Step 4: Glowing review

Candles will add a warm glow creating ambiance in your room. I like to use lightly scented candles with pretty labels that will look great even when they are not lit.

Step 5: Express yourself

Decorative objects are the perfect way to infuse your personality into your space. I like to use interesting pieces that will start conversations with my guests. Try things like a cool match box collection in a small bowl, a unique vacation find or anything else that will highlight your interests.

Now you can layer these things in varying heights on your tray. You can also break them up into three different vignettes on your table like the image above. Play around with the pieces until you get the look you love.
